A Night at The Guthrie Theater!

A Night @According to Midwest Living “The Twin Cities boast more theater seats per capita than any U.S. metro except New York City.” (See the full article about the Twin Cities Theater Scene HERE).  With a reputation like this you had better believe that you can expect a lot when taking a night in Minneapolis to visit the theater!

Recently, this local real estate gal hit the town to take in a play at the beautiful Guthrie Theater.  The “new” Guthrie Theater is located on the edge of the Warehouse District perched along the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis.  It houses 3 separate theaters along with some of the most killer views of the stone arch bridge, the Mississippi River and The Gold Medal Flour sign from the amazing “endless bridge”.

The building itself is awe-inspiring and only second to the quality of the theater you can see in this fantastic venue in the little-big city of Minneapolis.  This year I have seen multiple plays here including The Music Man, and To Kill a Mockingbird.  Every performance has left me 100% impressed and the main theater also provides a semicircle seating set-up which provides an amazing view from any seat.  Truly not a bad seat in the house at the Guthrie!

I can’t recommend taking a night to experience this venue yourself highly enough.  While you are at it, make a full evening of it and enjoy an appetizer at one of the many local restaurants.  We chose to try Sanctuary Restaurant, which has a small French Inspired Menu that changes every 60 days and an incredibly cozy atmosphere.
